Carlos Meneses Hip Quartet @ Café Teatro Rayuela

Carlos Meneses Hip Quartet will perform live on May 2nd at Café Teatro Rayuela in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Canary Islands, Spain. The concert will feature music from their latest albums, [collabs] and Like One, offering an engaging set of contemporary jazz infused with rich, diverse influences.

Led by bassist and composer Carlos Meneses, the Hip Quartet brings together a dynamic group of musicians whose sound reflects versatility, creativity, and a deep connection to both global and local musical traditions. Born in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria in 1979, Meneses has built a wide-ranging career since 2006, with a strong foundation in both classical and jazz idioms, as well as a commitment to incorporating Canarian folk elements into modern music.

This performance has been officially dedicated to the Music Against Child Labour initiative, joining a global network of artists using music to raise awareness and inspire change in the fight against child labour.
